Group photos without the chaos

Group photos often feel like the most stressful part of a wedding day but they don’t have to be. With a bit of planning and the right approach, they can be quick and even enjoyable. These are the photographs that often end up in photo frames or family albums, so they deserve to be done with care.

Before your wedding

Together, we’ll create a group list that keeps things simple, balanced between family, bridal party, and a few close friends. Up to 10 group combinations usually work best. It’s enough to include everyone without losing flow. We’ll also choose a time in the day when everyone needed for the photos is present and in good spirits. On the day, I’ll guide the process with calm direction so it runs smoothly and doesn’t pull you away from your celebration for too long.

A few things that might help

It helps to nominate someone in your bridal party or a close friend to help gather people quickly. Keeping the list short means the process feels organised rather than rushed. We can include a mix of classic family portraits and relaxed shots of your bridal party that feel authentic and full of personality. If there are sensitive family dynamics, we’ll plan ahead so everything runs smoothly. And if laughter erupts or something unexpected happens, even better. Spontaneous moments often become the most memorable photographs.
