How I photograph your day
There are many styles of photography and so many wedding photographers out there, that it can be hard to know where to start. Choosing the right photographer for you is more than just talent, it’s about connection and trust. It’s about finding someone who understands what’s important to you and can tell your story honestly, without ever getting in the way of it. The simplest way to describe documentary wedding photography, my style of photography, is that it often makes people wonder if there was even a photographer there, and that’s exactly the point. It’s different from more traditional or posed approaches because it focuses on real moments as they happen, rather than recreating them. It’s an observational, hands-off approach that allows you to be fully present and enjoy one of the most important days in your life just as it was meant to be.

After years of working on Hollywood film productions, I’ve learned to notice what happens when no one is thinking about the camera, when the nerves fade, the laughter comes easily, and moments unfold naturally. I’m not there to stage anything or interrupt the rhythm of your celebration. I’m there to observe, respond, step in quietly when needed, and create photographs that feel true to how it really was.
What I love most about this style is how it reveals every layer of emotion that runs through your day. The build-up before the ceremony, the joy of being married, and the celebration that follows. The result is a collection of photographic memories that feel honest, alive, and completely your own. If you’re thinking, ‘yes, this is what I’d like for my wedding day', let’s talk.
