Laura & Nkosinathi
Wedding on the move
Laura and Nathi’s wedding took place across Vienna, with the changing locations adding a unique perspective to their celebration. The day began in Währing, Vienna’s 18th district, with the couple getting ready at home followed by a rooftop first look shoot. From there, they moved to tree-lined streets framed by Gründerzeit facades softened by time and gentle light.
The couple waltzed to a nearby tram stop, drawing smiles and congratulations from strangers along the way. A historic tram collected them and carried them through the city to Prater Park for a meet and greet with friends and family. Photographing inside the tram was intimate, memorable, and challenging in such a confined space, but it worked. They exchanged vows at Prater Park.
After the ceremony, everyone boarded the tram for the return journey. The day concluded at the couple’s home with a garden party reception before guests moved indoors for dancing.
Three things stand out most when we think back on our wedding day: how quickly the time passed, the whirlwind of emotions and special moments shared with our loved ones, and Lyall capturing it all with an almost saint-like calm and efficiency. It’s one thing to have beautiful photographs of your wedding day, which Lyall delivered without question, but what stayed with us strongly was the genuine care he brings. This made a real difference to how we experienced it. With Lyall, we didn’t just receive a remarkable documentary of our wedding. His quiet presence allowed us to relax and truly enjoy each moment more fully.
